Trash to Treasure Projects

Its an addiction!  I confess.
Taking old discarded STUFF and making something beautiful and useful . I think its just part of my DNA.  When others see trash, I see treasure.  I have a new list of projects and I cant wait to get started. With the Winter weather breaking and the warm weather starting to settle in , I pulled out my saw horses and my sander and I am ready to get started. I thought I would share some of the projects in the "before" state.   Maybe this will inspire you  to embark on your own makeover.

I found a pile of wood doors.  $2.00 each.  Jackpot.  I bought a few ;) I wasn't sure what I was going to do with them but when you find a deal like this you jump on it. I have always lived by the philosophy if you love it, you will find a place for it.   I wish I had bought all of them.
I have been looking for a old dresser to use in my laundry room as a sink.  When I found this pair of doors, I thought why not make a base cabinet and use these doors. After all, finding a cabinet that fits this odd space has proven to be a challenge.
Here is the space BEFORE.  This is the same laundry room where we built the custom bench and laundry basket storage unit.  That side is so beautiful it makes this area look sad.  Plus, it will be great to have a big working sink in my laundry room.  As you can see, I have the under mount sink that I bought as a display over a year ago for 10.00.
 Stayed tuned...............

This little beauty was found for 2.00 .  Its a solid wood carved foot board that didn't have a headboard .  When I am finished with it it will be a beautiful bench.

I cant wait to share these projects with my handyman husband.

Hmm it seems like your website ate my first comment (it was super long) so I
guess I'll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I'm thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I'm still new to the whole thing. Do you have any tips for novice blog writers? I'd definitely appreciate it.
